It seems that every recipe for tomato sauce that I’ve read lately is very clear that San Marzano is the best. I’ve searched high and low in my area for someplace that carries San Marzano canned whole tomatoes. I have failed many times. Until today! I stumbled upon a neat little Italian market a few miles from my office and thought I would give it a look. Jackpot! I bought the only 3 cans they had left on their shelf. After a seemingly never-ending 12 hour shift of dentistry, you can (or maybe you can’t) imagine my sheer glee on my drive home with a little brown paper bag with the elusive San Marzano tomatoes on the seat next to me. Victory!
