Well, I must admit: Hubby is out of the country for work all week (which is why I will hold off on my last few Jerusalem cookbook recipes until he returns), and I've got the irresistible urge to bake as if I were entertaining the Cookie Monster (the only time that truly happened was at my 5th birthday party, and I'm pretty sure we fed him cake). Nevertheless, he isn't here to find out if I eat cookies for every meal every single day of his trip, right? I shall carry on pretending that I am not insane, and bake up lots of new goodies this week. In all honesty, I'll probably eat grilled cheese or Apple Jacks for dinner to allow for more baking time. So here's my plan... I am thoroughly smitten with my Cook's Illustrated Baking Book (Have I mentioned that before? Buy it for yourself, or at least give it as a Christmas gift!) and I can't wait to dive in and bake everything in sight. That being said, I will limit myself to a reasonable number of recipes for the week... how about 5! I am hosting a Pinterest Party at my house this week with some girl friends, and there is no such thing as too many baked goods, right? I'm going to start with the "classics" in the Cook's Illustrated Baking Book to see how they compare to the other recipes I've grown to love.
