This week we are trying out recipes from Jerusalem: A Cookbook by Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi. It is a gorgeous cookbook with beautiful pictures and great insight to the history and tradition of food in Jerusalem. I've been wanting to try out a few of the recipes ever since I got this book, and I thought that Hanukkah would be the perfect time to do so. I am not Jewish, but our family has always had an interest in the Jewish tradition, especially Hanukkah. Disclaimer: I am by no means an expert on the celebration of the Festival of Lights. I am very intrigued by Jewish culture and heritage, and this is my way of paying some respect to the traditions of God's chosen people.
