My cooking (and my life) are about to take a turn toward the Italian way of doing things. I decided that before we move to Italy for a year (It’s true! YAY!), I would like to at least read up on some of the regional recipes and maybe try my hand at a few things so that when I get there I can realize how wrong I’ve been doing them and learn the authentic way of preparing Italian meals. This book is massive! It is very much like an Italian version of Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking…only much thicker, and that’s saying something. Here’s to hoping that my excitement for our new opportunity turns into some delicious new family favorites. After all, I did make good use of my Williams-Sonoma coupon and got myself a pasta rolling machine today (Made in Italy, of course.). Can’t wait to try it out!
