Wednesdays are my favorite day of the week. You see, Wednesdays are my special day with the little lady. We get to go to swimming lessons and Trader Joe’s. It’s our ritual that we both look forward to every week. It’s our only outing of the week that doesn’t feel like a chore. It’s therapeutic and so much fun. We play in the warm pool and practice our back floats and kicks, then we dry off and head down the road to Trader Joe’s. First thing when we walk through the door, we push our red cart straight to the flower section and pick out our bouquet for the week. Then we wander and check out any fun new things we want to try. This week we found “Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend”. It’s full of all the wonderful flavors that one would expect from an Everything Bagel all in one little jar.
Once we arrived at home after our outing, we trimmed the flowers and arranged them in the cookie jar. Yes, we use a cookie jar as our vase. We own beautiful crystal vases, but the sight of my cookie jar bursting with colorful blooms brings me more joy as I walk through the kitchen countless times each day. I couldn’t wait to try out the Everything Bagel seasoning, so I made a dip to bring to a gathering I was attending. Only 3 ingredients, but the flavor was spectacular. And addicting. In fact, that same night my Hubby and I had the Everything Bagel Dip with bagel chips for dinner while we binge-watched This Is Us and tried to forget the restless adventures of a teething baby. True story. No regrets.
If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s nearby, you can absolutely make your own Everything Bagel seasoning (recipe below). It is probably going to be a bit more expensive though, given that a jar of it is only $1.99 at Trader Joe’s. (They don’t pay me to praise their products. I promise. They don’t even know I exist.) I believe McCormick and King Arthur Flour both offer similar products too.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend! Winter has returned here, so it’s back to scraping the windshield every time we leave the house. Hard to believe that last week I drove around with the roof of my Jeep open!
