Happy Friday, Friends! We've made it to another weekend. I don't know about you, but I have been fighting various illnesses for a week or so and my appetite has been suffering. Homemade soup is the answer to many of life's dilemmas. Today I've gathered up some of my very favorites for your weekend inspiration. Hopefully one of these recipes will help you kick that lingering cold or flu bug too.
Cheddar Broccoli Soup. The reliable standby that is both fulfilling and crowd-pleasing. Way better than Panera's and not at all overpriced. Best enjoyed in a large bowl on the couch instead of in a rowdy restaurant. (This recipe was the most viewed recipe on my blog in 2013 for good reason.)
Minestrone with Pesto. AKA "Clean out the refrigerator soup". This pot has a little bit of everything, and it's incredible. The pesto gives an added punch of flavor and assures its status as a favorite in our house.
Loaded Baked Potato Soup. Need I say more? It's basically all of our favorite things served in a velvety rich, slurpable format.
Let's not forget the ultimate soup accompaniment...Homemade Crackers. They're divine, and totally worth the effort every once in a while.
Boeuf Bourguignon is basically worthy of its own food category. It's where beef stew begins and ends for me. I am officially broken and don't like any other kind of beef stew anymore. Inspired by Julia, but a version all my own.
I hope this weekend finds you safe, warm, and healthy! This time next week I will be on my way to Orlando for Food Blog Forum 2015! My very first blogging event. I'm super excited/nervous/overwhelmed. I'll share all about it another day.

I love soup but whenever I make it for dinner my husband is horribly disappointed. He doesn't think it's real food. Lol!

I know what you mean. Not sure why it seems like a cop out, but boys seem to think it is. It took a while to get my husband on board, but now he loves it when we have soup for supper!
