Cold Brew Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ground coffee, ground for drip coffee (medium grind)
  • 5 cups filtered water
  • 1 paper coffee filter
  • Flavored Coffee Creamer, if desired for serving

You will also need:

  • 2 large bowls
  • Fine mesh sieve
  • Pitcher or large jar with lid

Instructions

  1. Stir together the coffee grounds and water in a large bowl.
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.
  3. Line a fine mesh sieve with a coffee filter and set over a large, clean bowl.
  4. Gradually pour the coffee through the filter set over the bowl.
  5. Discard used coffee grounds(or use them in your garden!)
  6. Enjoy cold brewed coffee right away over ice, or seal in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 1 week.

Notes

Cold brew coffee is concentrated so that it does not taste watered-down when poured over ice. Feel free to dilute the coffee to your preferences with either water, milk, or creamer.
