Honey Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups organic ketchup
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (plus more as desired for heat)
  • 3 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan set over medium heat. Simmer, stirring frequently, until all ingredients have incorporated and sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.

Notes

Store in airtight containers in refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
