~First thing first. You MUST watch this video. It's short and pretty, and it'll put you in a happy-go-lucky, I'm-going-to-have-the-best-weekend, I-need-to-bake-something-right-now sort of mood. Aside from its glorious beauty, I feel like the music needs to be the sound on my alarm. Waking up to that tune would be a great way to start a day.
~I also love this Kone Brewing System from Provisions by Food52. Maybe it's because I worked in a coffee shop for 5 years during high school/college, but I have this infatuation with all coffee-brewing methods that don't require appliances. Hubby and I own more coffee-makers than I can count on one hand, but the only one that plugs in is our Bunn that we have at our cabin for when guest come to visit. I just love this one though, even if it is out of my price range.
~This article about Renting Julia Child's Home in Provence made me crazy jealous. Can you even imagine getting to hang out in Julia Child's house? I would probably be afraid to touch anything. I would sit in her kitchen, most likely carrying on a conversation with my imaginary BFF Julia. The article also got me very excited about our upcoming time in Europe. I like her advice for living like a local when travelling abroad. There's something to be said for finding or making a routine, even when you're halfway across the globe.
~I'm super excited to try out my new cookbook, Baking Illustrated by the editors of Cook's Illustrated Magazine, and in the spirit of sharing, I bought one copy for me, and one copy for one of you!
